If you've been reading my blog post since the day I started, you have read my first introduction. However, I haven't really talked about myself. So in this post, I will along with questions from the tasks we have given. π
My photo from last year |
First of all my name is Flosie Jane Sazon, I am currently a 2nd-year student studying Creative Digital Media at the Technological University of Dublin located in Blanchardstown Campus. I'm 20 years old (even though I don't look my age π) and I have been living in Ireland since I was 13.
This course wasn't actually my first choice even though I love art. My first choice was something about business and language which was way different from what I'm doing now, but I'm really happy that I'm doing what I love. Even though there were a lot of times convincing my parents but everything went well in the end.ππ
- What was the best class you took last semester? why?
Even though I enjoyed Web Development and Design Process & Practice, Digital Photography is still the best class that I took last year. Because of the pandemic, I got to experience DIY photography at home which was challenging as we had to think of some ways to practice using our photography skills. I was also happy with the outcome of my brand photography at the end!
- What was your biggest accomplishments last semester?
My biggest accomplishments last semester was to be able to pass all my modules. Even when being in quarantine, I was still able to focus on my projects and complete them on given time.
- What are your goals for this module? What do you want to achieve?
My goals for this module is to try my best to learn more techniques and improve my skills. I also want to master my time management and I will try to submit my work before its due.
- Did you do something exciting during break?
Yes, I did something exciting during break. I created my own photography Instagram which took me a lot of courage to do as I didn't have any confidence on my work. I also designed my friend's first poetry book cover which was another accomplishment for me and seeing my name as the designer makes me feel proud of myself.
This the first book cover that I designed. |
I think this will be the end of my blog tonight!π Again, thank you for reading my blogs and I hope you get to know more about me~

Hey Flosie, I'm happy to hear that you got a course in an area that you enjoy, even if it took some time to convince your parents, like everyone says , if you like your job you feel like you don't work a day in your life. It's pretty cool how your'e getting to design a book cover, definitely going to be something to add to a future portfolio of creative work.
ReplyDeleteHi Flosie! I loved your introduction blog post! It was interesting to learn that your first choice was astronomically different to what you are studying now. I am glad that you are in this course and love it. I am happy that you built up the courage to make a photography page and I am sure your images are amazing! The poetry book cover you designed is awesome and looks very professional. That is a major accomplishment especially being only a 2nd year student! <3
ReplyDeleteHi Flosie,
ReplyDeleteI know the struggle of convincing your parents that Art was a good choice to pick…trust me (Asian jokeπ). They were also disappointed at first considering I almost failed the leaving cert. At least I’m in college tho right? Lol.
Anyway, Digital Photography was also one of my favourite modules last year. It was tough doing the Photography Assignment last year since we were stuck at home, but your photo still turned out great.
I like the design of the book cover you created by the way. Lookin’ really professional considering you had no book cover designing experience.
Hi, Flosieeee!
ReplyDeleteMy first choice for college also was related to language, it was Journalism and Language :D but the Creadtive Digital Media course came around and I was like “should I?” and then “I should!” hahahahah
I also loved doing Digital Photography, so much fun! And even though it was challenging to do DIY photography at home, you did AMAZING!!! Well done ^-^
Congratulations for you first poetry book cover :’’) very proud of you ~emotional.

Hi Flosie, Not gonna lie one the first day I was shocked when you said you were 20 because it is true you do not look your age. The poetry book cover is beautiful well done on that. And reading your blog your first choice is totally different to what you are currently doing now that is a big change glad you are happy with what you are doing now. -Tochi
ReplyDeleteHi Flosie , I didn't think the randomizer would pop up a friend like you but I guess it's called a randomizer for a reason! I thought you were like 17 when we first met and was actually really surprised when you weren't. I so happy your putting your work out there with your photography page and your friends poetry book where can I get one ????? Also you where gonna go into a business course !!!!

Hey Flosie, really enjoyed reading your blog! I too really enjoyed digital photography last year it was fun to take lots of photos and learn more about camera. I would have to agree with you about passing everything last year I was worried that I was going to fail also especially with what been happening in the world recently. Congrats on your photography Instagram and your book cover design it looks great!
ReplyDeleteHey Flosie!! Really enjoyed your blog post :) It's mad how your first college choice was so different to this course! I'm glad you're in this one :) I love your product shot from last semester, it was also my favourite module! That's so cool that you designed that book cover for your friend!! Seeing your name as the designer must have been such a surreal feeling! I hope you're keeping well, -Megan
ReplyDeleteHi Flosie, It's Aoibhe!! Hope you are doing well, what a lovely introduction blog post, i really enjoyed reading it ! Wow I love that photograph of the watch it is brilliant and has so much detail in it. I also loved studio photography. Well Done on starting your own photography instagram account. Also I love the design that you did for your friends poetry book, it is lovely. I love the colours. Best of luck with this semester. - Aoibhe
ReplyDeleteHey Flossie, It's Ellen, I don't think we've ever spoken but hopefully next year. I really feel your pain Im 21 and look about ten, I will probably be asked for my ID until I'm fifty. I hope college online is going well for you, I know we are all struggling haha. Good luck with the year ahead!!
ReplyDeleteHi Flossie good to meet you
ReplyDeletefirst I have to say the first part of this was hard to read, black writing over a gray background is not a good combination. Second ya I agree it was hard to make a good produce shot at home all I had was some lamps and a phone but yours turned out pretty good.
Hi Floise, digital photography was also my favorite module last year, I enjoyed every other module but like yourself photography was just my favorite. I think the book cover you made is really good and its nice that your first cover you ever made was for a friend. Anyways I hope online college is treating you well and good luck with the rest of the semester!
ReplyDeleteHeya Flosie,
ReplyDeleteDoing this module was also a surprisingly good choice for me so I'm glad you're enjoying it just as much as me :) That whole second semester last year was something else but at least right now we're a bit more organised right now since we're still learning from home :D I have no doubt you will be an amazing animator by the end of this course! I seen your art and your very talented. I wanna go the same direction after this course but I got a lot to improve on art-wise before I go for that career choice :'D
Hey Flossie, I hope you are doing well! Since this is an introduction post I'll talk about the first time you introduced yourself to me, it was the first day of college and we were in the basketball court room thing doing all the team challenges and you told me your name and I thought it was such a cool name.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, the book cover you made for your friends looks so nice, I love the colours you used, all compliment each other and your photography assignment from last year of the watch looks amazing! I could never get the hang of getting the reflection of the jewellery piece using a mirror, if I would show you my attempts you would laugh, which is okay because I would too!
I really enjoyed reading your introduction post, take care.
