Game Brainstorm

Roller Splat! Roller Splat!  link The first game game idea I have in mind is Roller Splat! It is a puzzle type of game where you have to roll the paint ball every corner of the maze to complete the levels. This game is very satisfying for people who love relaxing games and puzzles like me 😂. I could play this game for hours and I won't get tired. The game level difficulty is also mixed up which is a good thing in my opinion because you don't have to think about how to accomplish the next game. The aim of this game is to relax so it won't be that challenging as you only want to play it on your spare time. Image of what the game look like. Link I decided to add this as one of my ideas because it is very simple and a fun game to play. The target audience for this is also diverse and everyone can play it. I also think that I can develop this in 2D style and to make my game different from the original, I could add coins through the pathways so the player could earn money to bu

Unity Tutorial 01

Sky screenshot from Unity while doing the lab I just completed the Unity tutorials lab 1.1, 1.2, 1.3! I was so happy that I got to start learning new skills that I could use to create my first game. Even though I found it difficult at the beginning since I was still not familiar how the software work, I still learned a couple of things every stage of the tutorials. Such as getting to use to the tools and creating Assets folders, moving the vehicle down the road at a constant speed, and also experimenting with mass to the vehicle and obstacle objects which was fun because when they started to collide, they started flying into the air.😂I also experienced how to code a game for the first time which was very cool and it has a similarity with website coding as well so it wasn't too bad for me to understand.  The person who teach us in the video was also very helpful and straightforward. I also like the way that he makes some error during the tutorials because it shows that even an expe

Exploring Game Design

Inspiration image about discovering new things We started this week's tasks by reading articles about defining what a game is to a more detail and in depth explanations.  I used to define "game" as one or multiple players who works together to complete certain tasks with a set of rules that they must follow whether they win or lose. However if I put more thoughts into it, the definition gets more profound and brings me more in depth about what a game truly is. As I read though the first article that was talking about particular definitions of what a game is depending on how much interaction they have with it. For example, the more interest they have about games the more knowledge they can share with people. There is an interpretation from the article that I like based on a book called "Rules of Play" by Katie Salen and Eric Zimmerman. They explained that games are a "system in which players engage in an artificial, defined by rules, that results in a quanti

Time Strategies

Ancient clock As usual, I have been trying to start my last blog for this week, but because I procrastinate so much I never ended up doing it.  I feel like I always keep saying (I'll do it tomorrow morning), knowing very well that I am actually not a morning person!😂 . Anyways.... I am doing it again, moving away from the main topic. *facepalm* Today I will be talking about the time management which is ironic for me as I have been procrastinating before doing this blog. We were given multiple articles to choose from and read at least 2 of them to help us manage our time and keep our head on track with college work. Even though it is only the 2nd week of semester, we already have plenty of things to do, whether it is a tasks or labs. I've already found myself overthinking and feeling pressured to be able to submit the work on time. I also find it hard to stick to my planned timetable for this specific module that I created last week because there are tasks that kept coming. The

Time to explore more in Technology Tools & Course Websites~

Image that I with an inspiration  quote from Pinterest.  Another day, another blog! Today, I will be talking about the tools that I explore about technology tools and course websites from our task. It's time to answer more questions 😪 Me: A sad cat gif sighing for more work. 1. Are you already familiar with some of these technology tools?     Yes. I am already familiar with Pinterest as I am using this website to get good quality images. I mostly look for images as an inspiration from Pinterest and I also use them to my blog posts and other presentation projects for my other modules.     Even though I am not familiar with the image editing program examples from our tasks, I still edit my photograph images and edit them to use for my blogs and when I am practicing my editing skills. Instead, I use Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator because that are the software we mostly used for college and I am more familiar with them.  The image that I used today was quickly made in Illustrator

Assignments First Impressions

Animation Gif 1. What assignments are you most intrigued by? The first assignment that I am intrigued about is the Reading, because every task will have different contents that could change your perspectives about certain things. It could be a way to help me challenge myself more and see how far I go with my writing capability. I am also hoping that the reading topics are interesting. I'm also curious about Unity3D and I am excited to create my first game. Hopefully, the tutorials are straightforward and easy to understand so I won't have any problem doing the lab tasks during this semester. 2. Is there any extra credit options that grab your attention? I like all the extra credit options because each of them has different content that could improve us, students, in many ways. For example, Tech-tasks makes you learn different kinds of web-based useful tools that could improve your technological skills. It can also make your blogs and posts more attractive to your readers. I thi

Introduction to a future Animator 😁

If you've been reading my blog post since the day I started, you have read my first introduction. However, I haven't really talked about myself. So in this post, I will along with questions from the tasks we have given. 😁 My photo from last year First of all my name is Flosie Jane Sazon, I am currently a 2nd-year student studying Creative Digital Media at the  Technological University of Dublin located in Blanchardstown Campus. I'm 20 years old (even though I don't look my age 😂) and I have been living in Ireland since I was 13. This course wasn't actually my first choice even though I love art. My first choice was something about business and language which was way different from what I'm doing now, but I'm really happy that I'm doing what I love. Even though there were a lot of times convincing my parents but everything went well in the end.😂😂 What was the best class you took last semester? why? Even though I enjoyed Web Development and Design Proc
